The Center conducts the following the activities in cooperation with the relevant departments and units of the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Applied Schools of Health Technology, Social Services and Nursing of Hacettepe University and with the Hacettepe University Hospitals.

a)    Developing advanced laboratory diagnosis methods regarding HIV-AIDS patients and other sexually transmitted diseases, making up-to-date follow-ups and treatment plans,

b)   Conducting and applying epidemiologic researches regarding HIV-AIDS patients and other sexually transmitted diseases,

c)    Developing and applying new laboratory methods that can be used in the clinical courses and treatment follow-ups of AIDS patients,

d)   Cooperating with the relevant national and international scientific research, examination and treatment institutions, public and private institutions and associations in order to obtain scientific and financial sources, and enabling scientific and tehnical exchange of knowledge and services,

e)    Arranging advanced specialist courses, congresses, conferences, symposiums, seminars and summer schools, supporting scientific publications,

f)     Disseminating written and oral informative and scientific information regarding HIV-AIDS patients and other sexually transmitted diseases,

g)    Enabling the education of students, teaching staff and other personnel at every level in cooperation with the relevant units of Hacettepe University,

h)    Offering consultation services to voluntary institutions conducting studies regarding HIV-AIDS patients and other sexually transmitted diseases.
